ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS 

SCADA System Modernization 
- Lead the design, construction, and overhaul of the company’s SCADA system for improved data acquisition, visualization, and control. 
- Implement scalable, secure solutions for real-time monitoring and historical data logging in collaboration with IT, Quality, and Manufacturing teams. 

New Product Automation Integration 
- Prepare automated production lines for upcoming product launches. 
- Design and implement mechanical modifications to optimize existing equipment. 
- Develop and deploy PLC programs to integrate new process steps seamlessly. 
- Program in-line vision systems for real-time quality control. 

The ideal candidate will have expertise in SCADA systems, PLC programming, mechanical integration, and vision system programming—playing a pivotal role in modernizing our SCADA infrastructure and preparing our automated production lines for new product introductions. 

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES 

Education & Experience  
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation, Mechatronics, or a related field. 
- 3–5 years of automation engineering experience, preferably in the medical device or regulated industry. 

Technical Skills 
- Strong expertise in SCADA systems (e.g., FactoryTalk suite). 
- Proficiency in PLC programming (Allen-Bradley, Siemens, etc.). 
- Experience in machine integration, mechanical design modifications, and troubleshooting. 
- Expertise in vision system programming (Cognex, Keyence) for quality control. 
- Familiarity with cGMP and validation practices (IQ/OQ/PQ under 21 CFR Part 11, and ISO 13485). 

Preferred Qualifications 
- Experience with robotic systems or automated inspection platforms. 
- Knowledge of FDA regulations, ISO 13485, IEC 61131. 
- Experience with data integrity and cybersecurity in automation. 
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, SolidWorks for mechanical adjustments. 
- Knowledge of HMI design tools. 

WORKING CONDITIONS 
- Must be able to read, write, and communicate in English. 
- Close visual acuity required for computer work and accuracy checks. 
- Extended periods in a cleanroom environment with required gowning (hairnet, safety glasses, gloves, lab coats). 
- Occasional environmental odors may be present. 
- On-site role (no remote/hybrid work) with occasional off-shift or weekend support.
